Born in Dublin, Lisa started playing the piano at the age of 4. While growing up in the suburbs of South Dublin she exposed herself to a wide array of musical styles, being involved in various projects and building a reputation for playing Metallica songs on her piano. For her solo recording career she decided to focus on more melancholic ambient material, influenced by the likes of Tori Amos, Bjork, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush and Loreena McKennitt.

2009 saw the release of Lisa's debut EP Ready to Unfold, on the back of which she supported Mick Moss (Antimatter) and Duncan Patterson (Íon, ex-Anathema) on their European tour, while also supporting Anneke van Giersbergen (Agua de Annique, ex-The Gathering), Irish singer/songwriter Mark Geary, Cork legend John Spillane and playing the prestigious Wave Gothik Treffen in Leipzig. The EP was well received throughout Europe, receiving many accolades by fans and press alike. She soon became part of Moss and Patterson's touring band, while also recording vocals on Íon's second album Immaculada, released on Equilibrium Music in January 2010.

The 'Obstacles', as referred to in the title of her debut album, are those that we face in our journey through life, ranging from everyday highs and lows to personal relationships and common fears like death and abandonment.
